At Training Data Lab, we are committed to sharing our research and insights with a broader audience, and social media is an important part of that effort. However, managing social media can be time-consuming, and crafting engaging content that resonates with our followers can be challenging. That is why we have decided to use ChatGPT, a large language model trained by OpenAI, to help us create high-quality content for our social media channels.
Training Data Lab is excited to share a new addition to our research ecosystem: Vibrant Ink Flavoured Theme for RStudio, created by our research associate Bastián González-Bustamante. This innovative theme is designed to enhance your experience when coding with R, and is now available under an MIT No Attribution (MIT-0) license.
In recent weeks, our Training Data Lab research team had the privilege of presenting two papers at international conferences. Our researchers, Bastián González-Bustamante and Diego Aguilar, showed their research on territorial patterns of open e-government in Chilean municipalities, highlighting the importance of digital democracy in modern government.
We are excited to announce that our research associate, Bastián González-Bustamante, has successfully presented his research paper “Resignation Calls and Ministerial Turnover in Latin America: Notes on Data Gathering using Machine Learning” at the Society for Latin American Studies (SLAS) annual conference held in Bath, UK, on 21-22 April 2022.
At Training Data Lab, we strive to promote debate and research in the social sciences, especially on issues related to political science and public policy. To achieve this, we have created a series of working papers entitled Tufte Working Papers, which aims to foster the exchange of ideas and knowledge between researchers and academics worldwide.
Between 10 and 15 July 2021, our Training Data Lab research team had the honour of presenting research at the World Congress of Political Science, organised by the International Political Science Association (IPSA). Although the COVID-19 pandemic forced the event to be held virtually for the first time in IPSA’s history, it did not prevent our research associates Carla Cisternas and Bastián González-Bustamante from sharing their findings with the international community.
