The present work explains the main regulatory challenges for the development of ‘Small Distributed Generation Facilities’ projects within the framework of forestry legislation and the acquisition of administrative authorizations to carry out forest intervention activities (logging), destruction or unstemmed of xerophytic formations for the establishment of electricity generation projects. The main point is to highlight the tension between a promotional regulation in the field of electricity and a protectionist one in forestry matters, which is manifested in legal difficulties (administrative representation, connection works) and limitations (project location and procedural) for the advancement of these projects, arising or linked to forestry regulations.
